Born in 1945 in Saalfeld. From 1964 to 1968 philology and cultural studies at the Humboldt University in Berlin. There PhD in literature/aesthetics. From 1969 to 1979 head of the literature department at the Bulgarian Institute for Culture in Berlin. From 1979 to 1981 head of department at the scientific information centre at the Academy of Science in Berlin. From 1981 to 1986 foreign director for the management of theatres and orchestras in Berlin. From 1986 to 1987 representative for the celebration of the 750th anniversary of the City of Berlin. From 1989 until 1991 deputy head of department international television exchange at Deutscher Fernsehfunk in Berlin. At the same time freelance editor for radio and TV as well as translator for fiction and science. Since December 1991 production director at MDR Television in Leipzig. Since 1995 professor at Fachhochschule Mittweida (university of applied sciences), at the University St. Kliment Ochridski in Sofia and at the New Bulgarian University in Sofia. |
