Eyes & Ears Awards 2005 - INNOVATION & EFFECTIVENESS |

In the context of MEDIENTAGE MÜNCHEN 2005, Eyes & Ears of Europe, the European Association for the Design, Promotion and Marketing of Audiovisual Media, will honour the best productions of the year with the Eyes & Ears Awards for the 7th time.
In today's multi-channel media world, the successful positioning of a programme or a content, of a station or a provider depends more than ever on the specific measures taken in the fields of design, promotion and brand communication. In order to increase the media designers' and marketeers' awareness of their creation processes and their products is one of the most important goals of Eyes & Ears of Europe, the European Association for the Design, Promotion and Marketing of Audiovisual Media. The Eyes & Ears Awards want to promote the debate of quality standards for media design, promotion and audiovisual brand communication in the context of cross-media and internationalisation.
The Eyes & Ears Awards are intended to open new horizons in the design, promotion and marketing of audiovisual media and to ensure innovative, effective, imaginative and successful marketing measures in the context of media companies' self-advertising.
Therefore, Eyes & Ears of Europe will present the Eyes & Ears Awards for the year's best productions on 27 October 2005 in the ceremonial context of the MEDIENTAGE MÜNCHEN for the 7th time. Prizes will be awarded for the following fields:
TV/Film Design Audio Design & Composition Interactive Design, Promotion & Branding Promotion/Advertising/Image
Awards will be made to outstanding contributions in 30 different categories of media design, promotion and brand communication for audiovisual media. The three best results from each category will be presented during the Munich event. The best production in each category will be given an Eyes & Ears Award. In addition, the most convincing entries from the points of view of INNOVATION and EFFECTIVENESS will be honoured with special prizes, to be awarded this year for the 6th time.
The highlight of the event will be the Eyes & Ears Excellence Award 2005 conferred for the 8th time. This much sought-after prize for outstanding contributions to the design of audiovisual communication hitherto has been awarded to the Dutch photographer and video director Anton Corbijn (2004), to the British production designer Peter Lamont (2003), to the author, director and advertising specialist Hermann Vaske (2002), to the actor, station voice and presenter Sky Du Mont (2001), to the British branding specialist and TV designer Martin Lambie-Nairn (2000) and to the German advertising film director Roman Kuhn (1999). In 1998 the price had been awarded to the Italian photographer and creative director Oliviero Toscani. |
