  Status quo & Perspectives of On-Air Promotion  
19 and 20 May 2005 in Cologne

In the context of programme information and self-advertising the broadcasters' and programme providers' on-air promotion plays a key role. A lucid positioning of the channel and the programme as well as clearly defined communicative objectives are the prerequisites for both an adequate and effective design of on-air promotion. If these preconditions are fulfilled and if an appropriate creative input is given, on-air promotion can ensure positive attention. It can essentially contribute to a success in the competition for the viewer's favour.

In this two-day event of Eyes & Ears of Europe and RTL CREATION, renowned decision makers and designers from the field of on-air promotion will discuss the following questions illustrating their arguments by means of concrete examples from their own field of activity. How should on-air promotion campaigns look like in order to attract attention? Which ways of planning and operation are favourable to these campaigns? What kind of particularities do arise in regional, national or international contexts? And last but not least: What do the technical change of diffusion channels and new interaction possibilities demand from on-air promotion?

This event is primarily aimed at people working in media and communication companies, in (post) production houses, design studios, agencies and consultant firms who want to learn more about current tasks, strategies and perspectives of on-air promotion. Also persons generally interested in media, students and trainees are very welcome. Please note that the number of participants is limited to a maximum of 20.

The seminar language is German.
