  Status quo & perspectives of media-based interaction design – Challenges for design, promotion & marketing  
5 & 6 July 2007 at Discovery Channel in Munich

The linking of different production, distribution and reception technologies provides numerous options for the development and design of new media-based interaction services. This applies to all areas of digitalised audiovisual communication, whether news, information, education, entertainment or service. Many forms of media-based interaction have already successfully been implemented. The spectrum ranges from video-on-demand products, multi-user games and community platforms to IPTV portals and mobile news services. Many further technical options are waiting to be explored through profitable and useful content.

In the context of this two-day event organised by Eyes & Ears of Europe and Discovery Channel, renowned experts will discuss the following questions by using specific examples from their own field of activity: What forms of media-based interaction design are currently being developed and implemented? What kind of content do users want in particular? What challenges result from media-based interaction for design? Where are promotion and advertisement heading within the context of interactive media? How does media-based interaction influence brand awareness? And last but not least: what are the most promising prospects related to media-based interaction design?

This event is primarily aimed at employees of media and communication companies, (post) production firms, design studios, agencies and consultancies. Persons interested in the media, students and trainees are also very welcome. Please note that the number of participants is limited to a maximum number of 20.

The presentations will be held in German.
